Camping Atlantique****
One of the best sandy beaches in Finistere stretches from Beg Meil to Mousterlin. Beg Meil is a pretty seaside village with restaurants, shops, cafes and children’s beach club in high season. Camping Atlantique is a family run site situated in green fields beside an area which has been designated as a nature reserve.
This campsite has a fabulous waterpark with large and small waterslides, providing endless fun for children of all ages. (The higher waterslides have restricted opening hours during low season.) New in 2009 was the very popular covered pool.
Children’s activities during July and August are wonderful. Archery, football, waterpolo, pool games, competitions and much more give endless enjoyment.
There is direct access via a footpath to a long crescent shaped beach of beautiful fine white sand. Because of its size, this south facing beach is usually a little less crowded than others in the area - perfect for sunbathing, swimming or windsurfing. It is about 21/2 miles from Beg Meil.
From early July to late August the campsite runs a children’s club (5 - 10 year olds), a family disco at least once a week and various evening entertainments. Camping Atlantique is an excellent choice for a memorable family holiday.

A group of families who stayed at Camping l’Atlantique in July of this year have let us know what a wonderful time their children had on this 4* campsite, - so good it featured in a French Television News broadcast ! The children’s activities organised by the campsite are excellent – archery, football, water-polo, aqua aerobics, ping pong tournaments, juggling, pool games and much more.
The Kid’s Club is fantastic for children from 4 to 12 years and is run by the Campsite during the mornings and afternoons from Monday to Friday during July and August. The children can take part in many different activities such as: treasure hunts ~ clay modelling ~ learning to juggle ~ making balloon sculptures ~ taking part in stage shows, etc.
The daily program is displayed at the campsite reception office.
Fitness Centre: For adults, not far from the covered pool is a very modern purpose made ‘Well Being’ Centre - the “L’Archipel” - with Sauna, Hammam, Gymn, etc and the charge for its use in 2009 was just 10 euros per person.
The Swimming Pool Complex covers a large area and there is plenty of room for sunbathing and relaxing around the pools. High Waterslide ~ Waterschutes and twisting Waterslide ~ Covered Pool ~ Shallow infants pool ~ Interconnecting swimming pool lagoons ~ Swimming pool for ‘exercise swimmers’
