Camping les Genets****
Camping Les Genets is a well run, modern site with sandy emplacements, mostly set in light shade.
The excellent ‘Wild West’ themed swimming pool complex is the focal point of the campsite. There is a childrens pool, main pool, waterslide, a river cascade and an indoor swimming pool.
In July and August the campsite has an animateur to organise various activities which are run during the day and evening.
A great campsite for relaxing, knowing that there are plenty of activities for the children.
Long stretches of glorious, sandy beach are within easy walking distance of the campsite. The sea front bars and cafes along the promenade of St Jean de Monts are only a short drive away. A great place to spend an evening and a wide choice of restaurants. We had no idea how many ways there were to cook mussels until we went to the specialist mussel restaurant by the beach!
Bike hire is organised on the campsite and there are many cycle paths close by. From there you can cycle along the coast, meander inland, or venture off into the pine forests.
Rentals can be for a half-day, for the day or for the week and there are cycle paths close to the campsite.
