Camping le Clarys Plage*****
The main centrepiece of the campsite at Clarys Plage is the fabulous outdoor ‘tropical’ style swimming pool along with a variety of waterslides, water fountains, and featuring a walk-in shallow section for younger children, as well as a covered swimming pool.
There is direct pedestrian access from the campsite to a small shopping centre. This is conveniently located right next to the campsite, with a range of boutiques, a supermarket and a restaurant too. Most of these shops open from late May through to early September, with the supermarket opening from mid May through to early September.
The onsite bar provides a lively meeting place in the evenings and is also where most of the entertainment takes place during July and August.
Situated less than two miles south of St Jean de Monts with its excellent shops, market and restaurants, you could not ask for a better location for your family holiday.
Teenagers will love the sporting activities organised on the main St Jean de Monts beach. Lively action and lots of fun.
Water Play and Spray Park – New in 2011 at our Clarys Plage campsite. This is an addition to the existing swimming pool. Great fun and yet another free to use activity that makes a family holiday on one of our parks a pleasure and entry is included in the cost of the holiday.
Bike hire is available very close to the campsite. Rentals can be for a half-day, for the day or for the week and there are cycle paths close to the campsite. From there you can cycle along the coast, meander inland, or venture off into the pine forests. The following website link will take you to a very informative map which shows some interesting cycle trips to take. Unfortunately this is only in French at the present time, but you will be able to follow it in conjunction with a map. Have a look at: pistes-cyclables.vendee.fr
Translation Aid: The Blue routes are by the sea, the Green routes are in the Marais Poitevin (an area of interlinking canals that were used by farmers to transport goods and live stock), the Red routes are in the country. The Thick red lines are: purpose made cycle tracks. Broken red lines: Cycle track beside the road, separated from it by a low hedge or low barrier. Red circles: Cycle lane on the road, marked out on the right hand side. Broken dark blue lines: cycle tracks to be constructed.
All of our mobile homes are situated on the main part of the campsite where the swimming pool, bar, reception, etc., are located. We do not use the annexe across the road.
